For 16 months we have been saying we must go to the beach together. Last summer we kept talking about it but never went. So we decided to just go and do it!

This past week we have done alot of things that we have spoken about but never acted on. We had never been swimming together so last friday we went. We had such a great time and afterwards we got on a bus to go to a rock club we had also been planning to go to forever.

So last wednesday we looked up the train times to go to the coast. Made the necessary arrangements and took a 2 hour train journey. We had a totaly amazing day! It was cloudy but that did’t stop us having fun. We were both just so happy to finaly be at the beach.

When we got there we had lunch in a nice little cafe. Then we headed towards to beach, stopping on the way to visit a few small shops. Once we arrived on the sea front we went down onto the sand, took our shoes and socks off and went paddeling along the coastline with our feet in the sea.

I also did something I had wanted to do for ages. I drew a heart in the sand for Nikki and then wrote ‘LOVE’. I really do love her so much!

Nikki found a starfish and took a snap of it. I think it’s really beautiful and amzaing.

We had such a great time together and really connected with each other. I think we’ve become closer through spending time together and doing things we’ve wanted to do for ages. I think the reason we have acctually done them is because we did them spontaniously. We didn’t spend alot of time thinking about it, or if it was practical to do it we just did it.
