Beyond the Rhetoric Blog Review
Michael Kwan was The Winner of The Blog Feedback Contest. He won a review of his blog. So here it is!
Beyond the Rhetoric is the personal blog of Michael Kwan. His blog offers daily posts on what’s going on in his life as well as the latest tech and blogging news. His blog reminds me a lot of JohnChow.com and I think it’s safe to say Michael is defiantly inspired by him. The blog layout is similar as well as the blogs content. He also features on John’s site as a Guest blogger.
In his recently posted Why Goals Are the Bane of My Existence he talks about by having goals he always feels “It’s hard to ever be satisfied with your current lot in life.” This is a very good point. By aiming higher I guess it proves you are not happy with where you are currently. This does not put him off though as he still sets himself new goals once he completes one.
Want to know which fast food coffee to drink? Well Michael has compared those on his blog! Comparing Fast Food Coffee is an informative and well written post comparing the likes of Starbucks, McDonald’s and Burger King. Not really my cup of tea. Give me a hot smooth and silky hot chocolate any day!
Michael Kwan is also not worried about posting when he makes mistakes. His most recent post Would You Have Called? Tells the tale of how he lost $100 in 2 hands of poker. It really is okay to make mistakes… We are all human after all! I like this kind of post it takes courage to put your hands up and say “Yup, I made a mistake” You just have to learn from it and move on. I’m sure next time he plays poker he will take what he has learnt, apply it and have a much better game.
Summary
Defiantly worth a read. I really love the unique and stylish writing style. The content is fun, practical and upbeat. So be sure to check it out today! http://btr.michaelkwan.com
