Blog Spring Clean!
As you may have noticed the look of my blog has changed slightly. I decided it was about time for a good old “spring clean”. I wanted to freshen it up a bit and give it a simple more crisp feel.
The header is now much thinner and just simple text on a faded background. I feel this gives a smart appearance. It allows for more of the blog to be shown and I added a new catchy phrase. The slogan sums the blog up nicely. Creativity and Inspiration go hand in hand so “Inspiration for Creative People” is perfect.
I then added a new RSS Feed icon in the sidebar (the big blue thing). Hopefully this will encourage more readers to subscribe. Click Here to find out more about RSS, what it is and what it can do for you.
I also have also played about with the order of the sidebar and removed a block of Google ads. You may have also noticed a new banner advert above the first post. I’m going to test it for a while and see how it goes. The ads inside the posts are going ok. They are being clicked the most but still not much.
I’d love to know what you guys think of the adverts on this blog? Do they bother you at all?
I hope you enjoy this update and if you have any comments or suggestions then let me know!

Liking the new refined look Tom, the sidebar layout is more logical, and the removal of the Google ads make it more refined.
The header still seems a little bland for my taste…but then I liked the origional one, so what do I know?
As for ads on the site, they don’t bother me at all. I guess you get used to them. Glad that the Google ones inside the posts are white, so easily recognisable as ads! The top bar one is fine too, not too big
The ads are cool and it does not bother the layout, i like the overall fresh clean look
congrats.
I love the new look!
I’ve been working on my blog as well… trying to brighten up for summer!
Wishing you a great day Tom,
Jen
