How to Stay Cool This Summer!

Summer is a great time of year but it can soon become a nightmare if you get too hot and bothered.

Heat Wave

My Top 10 Tips for Staying Cool this Summer.

1 - Fans are a great way to keep air circulating. Sitting right in front of it can be a good way to cool down. Just don’t let it dry your eyes out. A large oscillating fan is the best option.

2 - Open some windows. Ignore this if you’re using air conditioning. The poor AC will struggle to cool the whole world down! But just your house it can cope with.

3 - Try not to use the oven. This will heat the house up like a radiator and once you have the heat inside it will be hard to get rid of it.

4 - Turn off anything else that gets hot. Try to minimize having light bulbs and anything that generates heat on.

5 - Keep the curtains closed to keep the sun out and the cool air in.

6 - Wear clothes that breathe like cotton. Leave your shoes and socks off round the house and if you have long hair tie it up.

7 - Water is your friend. Keep some in the fridge and drink lots of it.

8 - Have a paddling pool or something similar in the garden and take a dip in it through out the day.

9 - Take cool showers or baths this will help keep your body temperature down.

10 - Eat and drink food with high water content like fruit and Popsicles. They will help keep you hydrated.

I hope these help you stay cool and enjoy your self this summer!
