Inspired To Learn To Play Bass Guitar

When I was younger I always wanted to play guitar, but for some reason I never did.

For some strange reason I ended up learning lots of different instruments when I was at school, like the recorder and the flute. One day when I was about 11 I got the chance to take free classical guitar lessons and jumped at the chance.

I never really enjoyed it though because I was not into classical music and wanted to play pop and rock music. I figured that any guitar practise was better then none and stuck with it for the year.

Once the free lessons ended I then stopped playing for a while. I had no guitar of mine own because the one I used for my lessons was rented.

About a year later I bought my first electric guitar and began to play again. I started of self-taught using books and the Internet and then took lessons for a few months to get me up to speed.

One day, while in a music shop I saw an electric bass guitar and decided to buy it. At the time I was still having guitar lessons and so I switched my lessons to bass lessons with the same guy. He taught me the basic and I began to learn to play bass guitar.

Years later I now play bass guitar and love it! I still sometime picked up and play my electric guitar but bass is my main instrument nowadays.

So many people I know wish they could play an instrument, yet they never do…

Why not learn to play bass guitar yourself?

It is so rewarding and a lot of fun!

Stop dreaming and go for it!
