It’s crazy how many people go on holiday and don’t bother with having transport to get around. It seems such a shame to wait all year, spend loads of money and then be stuck within walking distance of the hotel or apartment.
I have been on holiday a few times around Europe and we have always had a car. I remember for one holiday we drove all the way from England to Italy! It was a long drive, which took two days (we stopped off half way down). It was great though as we got to see so much of the French and Swiss countrysides.
Having a car was so worth it though! It meant we were free to drive around and visit loads of sights, which we wouldn’t have been able to see if we had not had the car. Some of the places the car allowed us to visit were Florence and the leaning tower of Pisa!
Sometimes when going on holiday, taking a car is not practical or even possible. For example if you were to fly to somewhere than using car hire would be your only option.
I knew a few of my friends have rented cars when they went away. They said that car hire in Spain was one of the best choices they made.
Having a car really does give you the freedom to make the most of your trip abroad. I can’t understand people who waste there holiday sitting by the hotel pool. Why don’t people get out and about and really embrace the local culture.
So next time your thinking of going away on your hols. I highly recommend that you rent a car. It really will make your holiday so much more enjoyable and the added freedom will allow you to really make the most of what is around you.

I have written a new poem and thought I would share it with you guys. I hope you enjoy it!
Leave me a comment and let me know what you think
Tick Tock
The trap door opened
it all became clear
the night became quiet
in rushed the fear
The clock watched on
as he laid in his bed
the screams and the terror
he wished he were dead
The night had flown by
only seemed like an hour
he shook and he trembled
whilest trapped in his tower
His dreams had gone
never to reappear
he closed his eyes
and wiped away a tear
The sun rose slowly
a new day began
the nightmare was over
for that poor lonely man

Here is an incredible poem that I wanted to share with you.
You have been given a dream - a purpose for being here… And in each life, it is up to you to make a difference… To leave joy, smiles and laughter as you pass the people by… To touch a life and leave an imprint of love… This is your task-your challenge-your pursuit.
It will be up to you when all has been said and done… Whether you accomplish your purpose for being on this earth. Some may try to hinder that purpose or even thwart it… But if you really hold on to the dream, you will see it through. No one can really affect your dreams unless you allow them to. No one can change your dreams unless you give your dreams to them.
Never settle for anything less than your purpose. Never go back on your word - make it count for more than just words. And when you lay your head down at night, you will find peace. Not only within yourself but with the dream that lives within you. And at the end if you are granted a chance to look back… You will smile for you will have lived your dream and your purpose will have been fulfilled.
